Powerball AU FAQ

Powerball Australia

The PowerBall AU appears in the market on March 23, 1996. Initially the player had to choose 5 numbers from the 45 that formed the first part of the tablet, and also choose 1 additional number known as “Powerball” of the second group.

AU Powerball Rules

In March 2013, the regulation was changed and it was determined that the winning combination should be obtained from 6 numbers out of 40 from the first group in the column, and a ball from among the 20 possible numbers from the bottom. This change led to the introduction of a new category of awards.

Since April 2018, there was a new variation, it has been established that the balls that form part of the first group were reduced to 35, and that instead of 6 balls to obtain the winning combination, they must be 7 balls plus the Powerball ball of the second group, which remains unchanged.

PowerBall Australia Awards

The prize categories in PowerBall AU are as follows:

1st category 7 balls + powerball

5th category 5 balls + powerball

  • On June 7th, 2018, the winner obtained a prize of the first category with an amount of AUD $ 50 million.
