Thunderball Lottery Information
Currently, Thunderball draws are held four times a week (Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays). The first Thunderball draw was held in June 1999.
Initially there was only one draw per week on Saturdays, and later the Wednesday draw was included.
Until May 2010, the combination was drawn between numbers 1 and 34, the prize for the first category was £250,000, and there was no ninth prize category as there is now a single Thunderball match.
After this date, the Friday draw was also introduced, alongside the Wednesday and Saturday draws, while the Tuesday draw was added in January 2018.
These changes resulted in an increase in the top prize to the current £500,000, while the remaining prizes were almost halved.
